Marriage Registration in Denmark

You must provide pictures or copies of ALL pages in your passport including the front and back pages, as well as blank pages. EU/EEA citizens may alternatively provide both sides of their ID card. For non-EU citizens: Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your stay, contain at least 2 empty pages, and have been issued within the last 10 years. Note: If your passport has a shorter validity than 4 months, it will limit your marriage license validity period.

You need documentation for legal entry and residence in Denmark. EU/EEA citizens can use their ID for free movement. Non-EEA/Swiss citizens may need a visa or residence permit. You must provide proof of legal entry to Denmark or the Schengen Area.

You must provide proof of your relationship, even if you live together or have children. Examples include: photos from different dates/trips, WhatsApp or messaging platform communications, screenshots from social media accounts showing your relationship.
